Injury Reporting Process

Injury Reporting Process

Below is the Cronulla Caringbah Sharks injury reporting process

1.
Injury Occurs

When a player sustains an injury during training or a match, the injury reporting process must be initiated immediately to ensure proper documentation and care.

2.
Manager Reports via Mysideline

The team manager is responsible for reporting the injury through the Mysideline platform as soon as possible after the incident occurs. This is the primary reporting method for all injuries.

3.
Alternative: Paper-Based Reporting

If technical issues prevent access to Mysideline, managers can use the paper-based Injury Form as a backup. This completed form should be emailed directly to secretary@cronullacaringbah.com.au.

4.
Injury Recording and Distribution

Once received, the injury is officially recorded in the club's system. A copy of the injury report is then sent to both the Club Secretary and the Junior Rugby League (JRL).

5.
JRL Notification

The Secretary forwards the completed Injury Form to the JRL to ensure proper league-wide documentation and compliance with reporting requirements.

6.
Head Injury Assessment (HIA) Protocol

If the injury involves a Head Injury Assessment, the Secretary will contact the manager, player, and/or parent to discuss HIA protocols and the return-to-play requirements. Player safety is the top priority.

7.
Insurance Claims Assistance

If medical treatment requires an insurance claim, the Secretary can direct players and parents to the NRL Insurance Centre through Howden Group at: https://www.howdengroup.com.au/en/nrl-insurance-centre-nsw
